Taku Hisamura, born in Tokyo in 1977, abandoned heavy materials due to a hernia and presented innovative pieces that break away from the stereotypical concept of “sculpture.”

Among his recent works, Showcased are three series: “Plus” (= Wearable sculptures, featured in the magazine “Keito Dama” (Nihon Vogue Co.) last autumn), “Soft Pedestal” (Sakiori, a traditional Japanese rag weaving), and “Functional Sculpture” (a combination of Barricade and Hand-Made Bench).
